mexicans please answer?

hey! does anyone here actually live in mexico? i'm curious...what is it like there now? how badly has the country been affected by swine flu? how has it changed? i think it's kind of hard to get accurate info about it.

Fluffybunny thinks that the whole swine flu thingy is overblown. I had a great deal and was there last month diving in cancun and, by my own humble estimation the subdued touristy resorts make the country a more appealing destination. Lots of good deals on excursions as providers are anxous to chase a diminishing pack of touists. So all in all fluffybunny urges you to go anyway - swine flu be damned - the airports are a bit unnerving with tourists donning those surgical mask do-dahs b ut once you arrive, well fluffybunny gives you her personal assurance that things are not as bad as all that!

I would probably agree with Fluffybunny, but it's probably best to err on the side of caution. It is frustrating that a lot of the information is conflicting.
