there is a new camp in the orinoco delta. we found it by an accident, we spent 3 day. they charge us about 50 us a day. clean and small, with the name orinoco eco camp. nice for back packers and small groups. it was a relief comparing to the huge camps with there big groups. we were one of the first groups and victor took good care of us. he speaks english and seems that he spent all his life in the jungle. we made the reservation with a lady called maura. she spoke english in a way.
here is her phone number: 0058(0)4148082710, (0)295 2490101.

There is another camp, Simoina Camp, which is a simple and rustic structure situated deep inside the jungle. It consists of a few typical Indian style dwellings, one big thatched roof house for sleeping, dining room with a bar overlooking the river, a kitchen and shared bathrooms. They offer the jungle excursions, including canoe. For the more upscale and no –worries trip look at Latour Company. They offer a variety of tours to Venezuela, including Caracas, Angel Falls and Orinoco Delta.
