Amsterdam is a great place, which offers lots of fun stuff. I recommend you one of my favourite places which isn't that known yet. It is called the "House Of Bols". Situated at the opposite of the Van Gogh museum, it is easy to find.
I found out about the place when I left the van Gogh and suddenly this Dutch guy stood in front of me and asked if I already knew the place. I didn't so I decided to visit the House Of Bols with some friends and it was stunning! I smelled the fresh taste of cocktails as soon as I entered the building. The atmosphere is easy going and the people are nice.
The House Of Bols is all about Genever, a Dutch famous drink which I didn't knew (at that time). You'll get a tour through the museum which is quite interesting. After the tour you can choose one of the many cocktails they have for free in the trendy mirror bar.
The museum is pretty fun, interesting and not that expensive. I hope you like it!

Just about one of the easiest places on the continent to get to from the UK and one of the best! Amsterdam is famed for its canals lined by wonderful architecture; its laid back and liberal atmosphere; and the quality of the nightlife. Get there by plane, train or automobile, you're guaranteed a fab time. Amsterdam's perfect for a special party, short break or super weekend away.

Amsterdam has an instantly recognizable charm all its own, whether you see it under blue skies, through light drizzle or even alongside the biggest crowds of high season.
In general, most travelers visit Amsterdam between April and September, when the days are longer and temperatures are milder than during other months.

But, the one thing that's constant about Amsterdam weather is that it's unpredictable. While there's never a guarantee of good weather, the Dutch pay no mind and carry on with whatever festival or party they have planned -- and so should you.

The Cheapest Time to Visit Amsterdam

Visitors will find the cheapest prices for Amsterdam flights and accommodations from late October to early March. The exception here is the holiday season in December.

Amsterdam in Spring: Watch the city shed its winter layers, as crocuses and hyacinths emerge and people gear up for seasonal celebrations.

I hope the information is usful for you!
